We're looking for a driven, passionate and energetic network security specialist to work collaboratively with our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, reviewing and assessing the network security architecture, performing periodic network traffic and host analysis, establishing proxies and tunnels for secure remote access, and reporting on the costs, requirements, benefits, and risks of technologies and protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of network security operations experience with a solid understanding of threats, attacks, and vulnerabilities assessment in networks and computers
- Competency at all layers of the OSI model:
- Diverse background in application layer protocols, e.g., HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP
- Experience with tunneling and VPN protocols
- Security-oriented understanding of Web applications, servers, and network security protocols
- Extensive experience in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting servers and proxies
- Competency in both Windows and Linux OS environment
- Experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining network devices, including routers, switches, intrusion detection systems and firewalls
- Experience configuring DNS, DHCP, VLANs, high availability network configurations
- Experience in cryptographic algorithms e.g., RSA, AES, SHA-1
Additional Qualifications:
- Analytic experience with packet capture technologies
- Functional competency in database technologies such as MySQL
- Understanding of ISPs, DNS, Internet routing, and IP address allocation
- Understanding of privacy, identity, anonymity, and traceback in networks and applications
- Familiarity with the IETF and the RFC repository
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools
