Agile Solutions for the Warfighter and the Enterprise

IBG services and solutions for defense customers range from strategic planning support for military leaders and commands to technologies for boots-on-the-ground field operations in theater.

Approach

Whether performing advanced scientific research, conducting technology demonstrations, or providing program management support, IBG personnel address defense customer needs by enhancing business processes and improving warfighter capabilities. For US DoD customers, IBG supports the importance of adherence to regulations and directives governing the acquisition process, including CJCSI 3170.01G, as well as DoDD 5000.1 and DoDI 5000.2. The IBG Team also recognizes the need to (1) periodically refresh training of personnel on JCIDS and (2) monitor new DoD acquisition policies.  IBG accomplishes this by tracking and staying up-to-date on new legislation such as the 2010 National Defense Authorization Act, which expedited the acquisition process by adopting an agile development approach focused on early-stage prototyping.

IBG leverages DoD tools and processes such as JCIDS, Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), Alternative Systems Review (ASR), DOTMLPF Analysis, and liaising with working groups and coordination boards.  IBG's experience and expertise allows it to utilize formal processes such as JCIDS for "Big A" acquisition processes, while also leveraging expedited processes informed by JCIDS for less formal "little a" acquisitions.

IBG's approach to defense RDT&E (Research, Development, Test and Evaluation) is also informed by experience managing and executing Science and Technology (S&T) efforts for technology various TRLs including BAAs, BTDs, BFEX, COCOM experimentation efforts, and JCTD/ACTDs.  IBG understands that force multipliers can be achieved by leveraging and combining efforts.  As such, IBG supports DoD customers in coordinating with JCS, COCOMs, Services and Agencies within DoD, as well as external USG and IC stakeholders including DOJ, DHS, State, NIST, NSTC, GSA, NSF, DIA, CIA and NSA.  IBG also understands the role of industry and academia in putting technology into the hands of warfighters to address JUONS/ONS/UNS and other operational requirements.
