  • IBG Director of Business Development and retired Colonel Steve Hood recounts his experience of 9/11 in an interview on NBC. Mr. Hood was working in the National Security Agency during the attacks, and would later command the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC). He describes how the attacks have shifted the attention of the intelligence community from technological threats and conventional warfare to personal threats and irregular warfare.
  • IBG was featured in a segment of CNN's Anderson Cooper 360, broadcast 6 May 2011. The segment, hosted by Dr. Sanjay Gupta, examined face detection and face recognition technology, with an emphasis on its potential use in watchlist and identification scenarios. IBG Senior Consultant Olga Raskin discussed the use of face recognition technology in web-based authentication and mobile applications, using IBG-developed face recognition systems in the course of the interview. 
  • IBG has been awarded a contract to assist the Texas Health and Humans Services Commission (HHSC) in administering the Medicaid Eligibility and Health Information Services (MEHIS) contract. The MEHIS system will replace the current paper Medicaid identification form with a permanent plastic card, automate eligibility verification, and establish a foundation for future health information exchange for improved efficiency, continuity of care, and health outcomes.
  • International Biometric Group (IBG) announced that it has received two research awards under the Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) Public Security Technical Program (PSTP). IBG will work with a consortium of government, academia, and industry partners to evaluate, analyze and implement biometric technologies that enhance national security.
  • International Biometric Group (IBG) announced that it has been awarded a task order under the Biometrics Operations and Support Services Restricted (BOSS-R) contract in support of the U.S. Army Biometrics Identity Management Agency (BIMA). BIMA leads Department of Defense activities to prioritize, integrate, and synchronize biometrics technologies and capabilities and to manage the Department of Defense's authoritative biometrics database to support the National Security Strategy.
