IBG follows standardized performance metrics to conduct data analysis within its IBG Test Laboratories. The performance metrics used are excerpted from the ISO/IEC 19795 Biometric Performance Testing and reporting set of international standards, and include all fundamental performance metrics such as Failure-to-Enroll Rate (FTE), Failure-to-Acquire Rate (FTA), False Non-Match Rate (FNMR), and False Match Rate (FMR). All metrics are used for evaluating vendor sub-systems and reporting test results.

In addition to reporting standard performance metrics, IBG details system CONOPS to further evaluate its design from the end-users perspective. The thorough assessment can be used to system receptiveness and increase overall effectiveness.
